Installation Guide

To ensure a long and trouble free life of your tank, site preparation and proper pipe work installation is important. Please ensure the following guide is complied with.

Maxicubes

  1. We recommend that the 500L, 700L and 1050L Maxicube Tanks are installed on a solid level concrete base, we can supply reinforced concrete blocks for the tanks or a suitable concrete slab should be installed.
  2. The warranty will be void if flexible hose is not fitted from the valve to a pump or a fixed pipe work. Flexible hose with a minimum 300mm length will absorb any movement.
  3. The overflow must be plumbed away from the tank, to prevent water from scouring and undermining the tank base.

Round Tanks

  1. A firm solid base, 300mm larger than the base of your tank using dolomite sand or similar with a minimum thickness of 75mm, compacted to give a smooth level base. Concrete slab is suitable; refer to your local authority for thickness and reinforcing specifications.
  2. If the tank is to be placed on a stand, ensure the structure is sound and capable of carrying the weight, 1litre of water = 1 kilogram. Timber decking must have no more than 50mm gap.
  3. The warranty will be void if flexible hose is not fitted from the valve to a pump or a fixed pipe work. Flexible hose with a minimum 300mm length will absorb any movement.
  4. The overflow must be plumbed away from the tank, to prevent water from scouring and undermining the tank base.
